Machining Services
Beyond thermoforming, Plastic Systems Inc. offers precision machining, in-house tooling, and CAD modeling for cost-effective, high-quality manufacturing. Our advanced CNC mills, efficient machining processes, and rapid prototyping ensure accuracy and fast turnaround for projects of any complexity.

Machining
Plastic Systems is fully equipped to machine products of any complexity. With our advanced CNC mills and custom tooling capabilities, we can machine shapes ranging from simple designs to highly intricate, detailed components. No matter the level of complexity, we have the expertise and technology to bring your product to life with precision and efficiency.

Machining In Process
At Plastic Systems, we are committed to manufacturing products as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. We design our production processes to integrate machining during the forming process, which significantly reduces overall costs by saving valuable time. We collaborate closely with our customers to create products that meet their exact needs while offering advice on how to optimize designs for the most efficient machining.
Often, a small design change can lead to substantial cost savings by streamlining production. Simple designs with minor to moderately complex machining requirements can frequently be completed within the forming cycle itself, resulting in minimal additional machining charges—or, in some cases, no extra cost at all. Our goal is to make your product not only exactly what you want but also produced in the most cost-effective way.

Machining Post Form
For products that require a high level of intricacy and cannot be fully machined within the forming cycle, we develop specialized production methods to handle the additional complexity. Whether the challenge lies in the amount of machining or the level of detail, we have the expertise to manage it effectively.
Our customers expect nothing less than top-quality and precise results—and that’s exactly what we deliver. We are committed to ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and accuracy.

Precision Machining
As a fully equipped machine shop, we have the capability to manufacture products with precise tolerance requirements. Whether it's a part we've previously thermoformed or one created from a solid block of plastic—or even aluminum—we can handle it with ease.
With a machining footprint of up to 20" x 42" x 20", we can accommodate nearly any size project. And by properly staging the process, we can work with even larger components, ensuring your specifications are met with accuracy and efficiency.

In House Tooling
We are fully equipped to create both primary and secondary tooling for all the products we manufacture in-house, enabling us to deliver exceptionally fast turnaround times for prototypes and initial production runs.
Whether your production needs drill templates, routing templates, fixtures, or hold-downs, we’ve got you covered. While prototyping or production may take other companies weeks to complete, we are known for delivering high-quality results in just days—sometimes even overnight. Our efficiency ensures that you stay on track with your timeline without compromising on quality.

CAD Modeling
We are equipped with state-of-the-art CAD modeling software, enabling us to develop products to the highest standards. This advanced technology allows our customers to visualize their product before committing to costly prototyping, ensuring they get exactly what they want from the start.
With CAD modeling, we can confidently review and address potential dimensional issues before any additional—and expensive—processes take place. We can easily extract molds, tooling, and even 3D-printed parts from these models, ensuring a fast turnaround of physical products.
Furthermore, we offer our clients the ability to view, rotate, and explore any model or rendering we provide, completely free of charge, even if they don’t have access to this expansive software. This means you can review and refine designs with ease, ensuring the final product meets your exact expectations.
